Lavang Latika
This is one dish which you can never go wrong with. It is so easy to make and taste really yummy. It is pretty much like my suryakala or chandrakala. Sweet is not at all hard as you think. It is so easy to make. This stores well for a week in fridge as well. So you can enjoy it whenever you want. You can use my 7 mins khoya recipe.so you can make this sweet from start to finish in under 1 hour.

Ingredients for Lavang Latika
- Oil for deep frying
- Cloves as needed
Dough:
- All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup
- Ghee - 2 tblspn
- Salt a pinch
- Water as needed
For Filling:
- Khoya / Mawa - ¾ cup
- Sugar - 2.5 tblspn
- Nuts - 2 tblspn ( i used mixed nuts)
- Cardamom Powder - ½ tsp
For Sugar Syrup:
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Water - ½ cup

How to Make Lavang Latika
- Take flour, salt and ghee in a bowl and rub it well till it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Add water little by little and make a dough.
- Let the dough rest till you get everything ready.
- Now mix all ingredients for filling. Take your dough and divide it into equal portion. Now take each portion and roll it into a thin poori.
- Spoon filling in the centre and bring both sides together and cover with other side as well, so it resembles a parcel. Secure the top with a clove.
- Make the sugar syrup. Take sugar and water in a pan and heat it, bring it to a boil and simmer till it reaches ones string consistency.
- Now heat oil for deep frying, drop the parcels in oil, fry on medium heat till it gets golden. Drain it and add it to the syrup.
- Toss well in the syrup and let it sit for 3 to 4 mins.
- Drain and let it cool. Serve.

Ingredients

Hi arthi, I tried this yesterday came out well but the thing is whenever I make sugar syrup for tat one string consistency am not getting it properly and wen i switched off the flame it gets crystalise within a minute dunno where am doing wrong. Pls help me to do correctly

@Preetha Jayakumarjust heat it back with little water.it will turn liquid
